Hallo, hello, bonjour, hola and all the languages you can think of
How many michelin stars do I get?
Extra details before people ask
Airport: Eindhoven Airport
Gear: Nikon Z6 + (FTZ adapted) AF-S 80-400mm
Starting off with a very rare visitor: a lufthansa A340-300 leaving Eindhoven after flying in some military cargo from France
I won a behind the scenes photography tour of the airport so that is how I managed to take this shot
This photo is definitely in my top 3 best photos ever
This plane was delayed by 6 hours
Ryanair from London Stansted
Panning through a fence btw
And ending with a very smokey startup

I’ve never seen an airplane smoke red stuff before. Are we sure that plane is safe?

The smoke is red because of the beacon light flashing that color and yes the aircraft is safe

Reasonable yes but doesn’t explain smoke in the first place

The CFM leaps on the 737 max often put out smoke in cold weather during startup. I have seen this very often and it is perfectly safe. Though, I cannot find an explanation for why the engines emit smoke
