Last night (Late Afternoon In LA) I flew from Los Angeles to Yosemite, Skywest flies the CRJ-200 In real life and with that being free I decided to try it. It’s amazing how In a 45 minute flight, the weather can go from 75 degrees to 20 degrees. Yosemite has a fun approach over the Sierra-Nevada Mountains and is 7000 feet above sea level.
Flight Details
Route: KLAX-KMMH
Leaving a warm Los Angeles afternoon
Turning Northeast toward Yosemite and back over Los Angeles
Cruising over the Orange California deserts
Starting to descend over the snow capped Sierra Nevadas
Turning toward the airport in the Yosemite Valley
Approaching MMH on a cold, breezy afternoon

It’s a very fun approach! I ended up being too high so I had to do a slow 360 to lose some altitude

You are indeed correct, I don’t know why I said that the 200 flies in, and I’m jealous of you fly in a lot because I can imagine how amazing it is

It was a little shaky on approach and the landing was pretty awful so that’s why I didn’t show the moment of touchdown 😬
