“Leave your flight” at cruise

But you can’t run your phone off the app without it being disconnected. So technically his idea didn’t come true

O my bad I never tried being out of the app for long times

Not yet but one day hopefully. 🤞

Yeah @Billabongballong currently you can log off your flight and then pick it back up where you left off. But this feature is asking for the ability to actually close the app and keep your flight going, so long as the current “save flight” parameters are met. I do believe this feature is very imminent, as seen from this topic:

As has been posted several times and all but confirmed by the staff, the ability to keep a flight going “in the background” as well as leaving your plane “parked” for some time in the background seem to be features currently being tested for near future releases

That would help so much

Wow yeah this is a damn cool idea. Further into this you could also add an option to completely pause the sim and continue. This would help my phone’s battery life and health

Wouldn’t really be a “SIM” if this is done, will more preferably be called a “Game”

Nah, it would just allow people who can’t afford a device devoted to IF to complete longer flights and such. Flight sims on computers or dedicated machines don’t need that because you can just set them to run in the back ground or on a different screen, but you can’t do that with phones

Well some phones allow the "floating window " option that’s like you can play the game in a small window and put it in the home page of ur screen. This can reduce excess performance cuz the rendering will be so tiny, I mostly do that during long flights but don’t allow the phone to go into sleep mode. For that you’ll have to turn the “never sleep” mode on. But then a new problem arises, it can cause screen burn in but can be solved pretty easily , just put a wallpaper that is just black. Anyway the idea of “leave ur idea at cruise” is fascinating actually cuz u have the option to either be with the plane and not be with the plane.

Some day might be soon. :soon_arrow:

Guess this feature can be closed now?

sadly it is time…:frowning:

Not until it is in the hands of the people.

well yeah… but it is now confirmed, so there isn’t much to say anymore,

Actually, never mind, I don’t really know why the topic should stay open, but it isn’t doing any harm
