(I checked and I don’t believe that a topic already exists for this aircraft but i may be wrong!)
British Airways was founded in 1974 after the merger of BOAC (British Overseas Airways Corporation) and BEA (British European Airways.) However these airlines can trace their history’s to Imperial Airways(?) who were founded in August 1919. To celebrate the centenary British Airways decide to paint 4 aircraft into retro livery’s (3 747-400s and an A319)
G-BNLY, a 1993 built Boeing 747-436 was the third to be painted in a retro livery. Arriving in March 2019, It was decided to be painted in the iconic Landor livery used in the 1984-1997 period. In my opinion the landor is the best of all BA livery’s to date and would look brilliant in Infinite flight! G-BNLY being oldest 747 remaining in the British Airways fleet is a regular at terminal 3 at Heathrow and can also be seen on the following routes.
Mainly it flies any long haul routes BA operate for Heathrow Terminal 3. I think it would be great to see this livery, which represents a large proportion of BA’s history on IF.
I also think it looks great and would be awesome to see in the skies of Infinite flight as it looks great in general!
I was lucky enough to catch this one in real life so the photo is mine! Thanks for reading!
Of all the conversion training courses I’ve been on at British Airways. My all time favourite aircraft to fly on is the B747 fleet. The Landor was the best.
