Pre global had it
Hi everyone, of course we talk a lot about the landing lights of the logo light etc. but we also have to talk about airport lighting because I noticed that there are a lot of streetlights in airports, but no light that flashes, it would be nice if we could get this feature to illuminate airports

We need this feature!
Here is what would be good.
- Strobes on RWY
- Taxi and Landing lights
- Beacons on winglets
There is probably a lot more.

Strobes & Beacon on the runway/pavement used to be a thing pre-global update.

Yep, according to the trailers these would be right. So they can take the old codes and add them here, they are experienced with lights. But since that the engine was updated, the code would be outdated

That was due to the old old rendering system, which was lost when global came out.
Not really. Everything light wise is being built from the ground up

I think this is a great idea. We really need more realistic light sources in the game. However, this would be an enormous undertaking. The team also has to account for the wide variety of devices players use, which would bring heavy computational load, overheating and frame drops. Still, if realism is the goal, adding a lighting system would be an excellent move.
