Today I took a Cessna 150 to a very special place; an actual beach runway on the coast of Washington!
We were flying in on a Sunday afternoon, and another Cessna joined us in the pattern.
Something else very interesting about this airport is that it’s open to the public, anyone can walk on the beach. There were about 20 people swimming, fishing, walking dogs and playing on the beach. So, we did a low approach to let them know we were coming in and check for obstscles. Once we landed, the beautiful brown taildragger that was in the pattern landed behind us.
Enjoy my photo album of Copalis Beach from today (7/27)!

Short final!

Here’s our little 150, sitting on the beach (we almost got stuck
)
And this is the other plane that came in. We talked with the pilot, and apparently he had just moved to WA from Oregon and was just flying around and exploring
The other pilot departs
And off we go!
Thanks for viewing, this airport is also pretty interesting on Infinite Flight so I’d recommend paying it a visit!
