Hi Community,
What are your thoughts on the infinite flight staff hosting a landing competition event with prizes?
Below are some details:
A member (s) of IFATC would serve as the judge and would rate a landing on the following characteristics:
Precision: Was the landing within the touchdown zone?
Speed: Was the touchdown within VREF?
Alignment: How aligned was the aircraft on touchdown?
G-force: Was the touchdown within G limits?
Other criteria
PRIZES: Winner gets a free month of infinite flight pro and an XP boost.
2nd place gets an XP boost
3rd place gets an XP boost

It would be tuff for what aircraft i would choose…
I’m thinking we’d have several competitions. You can pick any aircraft within the category:
Airliners (jets only)
-Visual approach
-ILS approach
General aviation planes
-Visual approach
-ILS approach
Turboprops (multi engine)
-Visual approach
-ILS approach
Fighter jets

-ILS approach

I like that.
On second thoughts, when it comes to airliners the 737 should be in its own competition; the A320 and other airbuses are far easier to land than the 737
Only if you haven’t mastered it 😈

I agree but the A320 is far easier to land than the 737 given the FBW & taller landing gear
