Landing (center line)

Thanks for the care guys

So which aircraft do you recommend for me? look I know how to fly the approach down to the runway from 1500ft my problem is the final landing at 200ft I tilt my phone a little and In my mind I think it has turned because I’m looking at the circle and not the bank angle but then I see it’s the opposite side it’s going so this is what’s getting me unhappy

Hey guys truly practice makes perfect lol I’ve done two approach from 2500ft and I’ve landed successfully maintaining centre line haha Now it’s time to be perfect at landing on the touchline zone

Rudder correction is a big thing if you haven’t been using that

Its already possible

Any aircraft that is pretty stable as soon as you hit “short final”. Some are more stable than others.

You don’t just look at the horizon and think, “a bit left” left wing dip a bit; “a bit right” right wind dip a bit?

btw, Just to clarify, which circle do you mean?

The fpv the little circle

I’d say the 737 max it’s an easy to control modern aircraft which can land really nicely and easily!

Even though the FPV gives you good information, if you chase it too strictly it can actually work against you: it gives good feedback but it’s hard to steer it.

Try pracing a bunch with it turned off.

Try turning the HUD off too and just watching your airspeed on the bottom data strip.

There’s a compelling reason for the existence of the FPV on/off button - it “over grades” you.

I should use fpv?

I always say if you can put the fpv right on the horizon just as your wheels touch, you will never ever bounce. And also it shows your left vs right direction of travel (which is not always the same as your nose direction due to crosswinds for example.

But to mix up the repetitions of landing practice, I’m suggesting turn it off for a while to get a feel for not being distracted by the tendency to chase the fpv.

You look at the landing alignment a bit differently with no fpv.

So I’m suggesting mixing it up during practice repetitions: fpv sometimes off to see if it helps (and try with fpv and all HUD off sometimes as well - though you need to see airspeed).
