Guys I’m here again how do y’all keep center line while landing this is the most difficult thing in my life because someone the plane will keep a little roll and I will find myself correcting again and it is late how do y’all do this it’s not easy especially on a small device like the iPhone 14 Pro Max I feel like crying!
Infinite flight we need a joystick plesse make it possible ![]()

tilting is never gonna be easy y’all are bigger than this you can do this
Check your sensitivity settings. I personally have my control sensitivity set to low, which has helped me to master staying on centerline for landings.
Another setting I have changed is that I have adjusted my pitch and roll sensitivity to 95% each, with the null zone around 1-2% each. You can adjust this by heading to settings –> Controls –> Config (in the bottom right). This allows me to have more stabilised approaches, helping me stay on centerline.
I reckon you should have a play around with your settings and see what works best for you. One more thing… you will get better at this with more practice, so just give it time. Good luck ![]()
Edit: Once on the runway, as Frank mentioned, use your rudder to get on/stay on centerline.
Use small inputs and a little bit of rudder works perfectly
What plane and control setting are you using by any chance?
I’m confident in the approach down to the runway I can do that now my main issue is when I get to the runway I think I’m level but then there’s a slight roll and I’m off it’s annoying
This is on solo with no winds using the 777-200er
My settings are on default I changed nothing
It’s on the 777-200er
But whenever I use the 300er or a380 or 737 I really don’t have this issues lol
Wow usually the 777 makes it easy to track the centerline. Try to fly the approach with slight head winds, and check to make sure your load isn’t too low, as it will cause you to float.
I agree with the -300er being slightly easier to fly but try ^^.
I would keep sensitivity on default.
Also if you aren’t flying the approach all the way down completely perfectly, try not to overcorrect upon landing.
My hand hurts already due to the way I grip my phone
Test out my suggestions - changing control sensitivity to low and adjusting pitch/roll sensitivity and null zones really made a big difference.
I think it’s comes down to positioning my device well and not have it one sided because as little as any tilt can cause a roll
One needs to know in advance where the plane will turn after landing. Wind from the left –> plane turns to the left, and vice-versa. Hope it helps.
Follow the center line on your approach path. I started by using auto pilot and just adjusting my vs and heading as needed. I then turned of vs and just adjusted heading on AP. making sure I remained on the center approach line. I finally could do it all manually but it took practice. the center approach line is key.
there is a way to connect joysticks using map connect, an api designed for infinite flight
What he likely mentioned is a virtual joystick like on other popular mobile flight simulators like rfs and aerofly.
A virtual joystick would make it harder to do small corrections. Tilt controls are a lot more versatile.
Been there, landing on a small device is definitely harder than a larger tablet but there are a few things to keep in mind. First of all if you are a beginner turn on the red landing assist rectangles, these will help you line up up your approach much better staying on track for a centreline landing. Also I always keep in mind one thing, when the aircraft says 200, 100 only do small corrections from that point onwards, don’t do any quick rolls or turns in that moment. The only thing I can say for sure is that this will only get better with practice, not every landing is perfect and not just in IF in real life pilots rarely land on the centreline perfectly they do definitely land a bit towards one side. However as Many Pilots have said “Any Landing which people survive is a good landing regardless if it were hard or imperfect”
Better ergonomics is also reccomened. I reccomend to put your device on a table with proper support and only changing your titling into the landing. Just rest your device on the table and only adjust its pitch.
Also as someone who has tried a joystick on IF it’s 10 times more harder. And removes the immersiveness
I’d do 100 or so (or more) short finals on solo (broken up over time as necessary to manage fatigue).
Wind setting: zero at first (only very light crosswind later)
Sensitivity and null setting: no change (reserve for later if necessary - I’ve never used)
Autocoordination: off
Bank: to stay over the centerline, small movements only.
Yaw: align heading to centerline heading, small movements only.
Yeah I also got used to tilt controls and surprisingly working well for me now with low sensitivity. Nevertheless the virtual joystick on aerofly global is impressive and very responsive also considering their flight models are also pretty good in that regard which makes it a really good experience.
