Kuwait Airways B777-300ER — Tail Livery Accuracy Issue

Hello Infinite Flight Team,

I would like to report an accuracy issue with the Kuwait Airways Boeing 777-300ER livery.

First, I want to clarify that this is not a request for a new Kuwait Airways livery, nor is the issue simply about whether the tail logo should be white or blue.

The issue is with the actual tail and rear-fuselage paint design.

When Kuwait Airways introduced its new livery in 2016, the B777-300ER 9K-AOC already had the distinctive blue tail and the sweeping design extending from the tail onto the rear fuselage. Here is a picture from the livery request before the release in 20.2 update version

Later, Kuwait Airways updated the branding and changed the tail logo treatment, but the aircraft did not receive an entirely different tail/rear-fuselage design. The underlying design remained essentially the same. And here is a picture showing after the white tail logo update, but the tail/rear-fuselage remained the same:

However, the Kuwait Airways B777-300ER currently represented in Infinite Flight has an inaccurate version of this tail/rear-fuselage design.

What I’m referring to:

  • The shape and placement of the blue tail/rear-fuselage design do not accurately match the real Kuwait Airways B777-300ER.
  • The transition of the design from the tail onto the rear fuselage is different from the real aircraft.
  • This issue was already present on the B777-300ER before the recent livery update.
  • The recent update changed some elements of the livery, but the underlying tail/rear-fuselage design remained unchanged.

This is why I don’t believe this should be treated as a request for an additional or completely new Kuwait Airways livery. The Kuwait Airways B777-300ER already exists in Infinite Flight; I’m asking for the existing livery to be corrected to better represent the real aircraft.

I’ve attached comparison photos of the real Kuwait Airways B777-300ER and the Infinite Flight version to make the differences easier to see.

I really appreciate the Infinite Flight team’s work on updating the liveries, and I hope this remaining accuracy issue can also be addressed.

Unfortunately the only way to get it fixed would be to vote for the “newer” version.

Unfortunately it looks like yea it won’t.

It’s better to just wait for the new updated livery knowing how infinite flight focus on realistic fleet representation with current liveries it could be added eventually and they will make the rear fueselage paint design accurate for this updated livery hopefully.
