KTPH Remapping

As someone who’s grandfather owns KTPH, i am kinda bummed about how the runway, taxi way, and the placing all around feels like those knockoff airplane games with cut scenes mid flight. I will be glad to help remap it with today’s update, i can give you correcting runways, and some WWII maps of it :)

According to Wikipedia Tonopah Airport is county owned, now I am not from the US, however, pretty sure that means it is not privately owned.

And according to the NDEP on the Brownfields project fact sheet which is publicly available ownership has been with Nye County since 1949…

That’s not how that works

K, just trying to possibly remember how…

Hey! Welcome to the community.
I am sorry that you are pretty upset with this airport as KTPH unfortunately, has not made its way to 3D yet.
As he said above, if you wish to make this into 3D, feel free to join the Infinite Flight Airport Editing team so that KTPH will be made into 3D.
If you don’t want to join, perhaps there might be people already editing this airport and will make into the simulator soon. I know this speculation might be too far-fetched, but this is the only way to make sure. You can also check Scenery Editing tab to check out if there is anyone editing this airport!
Hope this helps :D

Then maybe his grandpa is the county or at least is a high rank in the County Management

Thanks for the help. And actually forgot to mention, Wiki is correct as recently it was taken control by the county and is wanting to shut it down to make it self serve. Sorry for the confusion!

Are you sure your grandpa was the owner of the airbase? I can’t find an owner prior to the county

KTPH was owned by the US Army Air Forces from 1940 to 1948 when ownership was turned over to the US Army Corps of Engineers and then later to Nye County and the town of Tonopah.

Alr. He owned it before it was taken by the county. Now they are wanting to make it a self serve business, and shutting the place down so they can have full control so i would say 50/50 im just a third wheeler 🤷‍♂️

And it says that the base was built 12 years after WWII

This doesn’t make any sense. The historical records of the airport show it was never privately owned. It has always been owned by the military or Nye County.

It was built in 1940
