I know I might get hate for this. But there should not be a TFR at KOSH for this fly in. Osh Kosh allows everything. (C5 747 and the B-one) But I couldn’t simply taxi in an F16 and of course I can’t bring my c17 there for my demos. So I had to fly to Green Bay instead.
Hey! At the moment KOSH is incredibly busy and they don’t want larger aircrafts filling up the parking areas
Hey mate,
I know that this may be frustrating but TFRs are in place to make everything run smoothly and to not have as much stress on controllers/pilots.
This is however only while the TFRs are active. If you wish to do other operations at OSH there are always other servers
there’s at least 250 parking spaces. heavies can only use about 10. what do you mean about heavies taking up the parking dude.
Exactly, if heavy aircraft are allowed, i’m sure those 10 spots would fill up rather quickly.
It’s IF, the majority of everyone loves heavies and fighters, and it’ll fill everything up, dude
Well they should have kinda recongized the event that @anon78859644 is doing with our fly ins
The TFR is in place to ensure as many pilots as possible get the opportunity to participate in events at OSH over the next week. While we’re well aware that OSH can accommodate all aircraft, the spirit of the event is in GA and by limiting the TFR to just light aircraft it gives everyone an enjoyable experience. It’s not meant to be a realism thing, just trying to make sure everyone gets a fair go at the events.
