In the summer of 2023, Korean Air is expanding its services throughout Europe. Beginning in March, the airline will resume service between Seoul-Incheon (ICN) and Prague (PRG), Zurich (ZRH), Istanbul (IST), and Madrid (MXP) (MAD).
Summer Schedules
After a three-year absence due to the pandemic, Korean Air will restart service to four European locations in March, the airline announced recently.
Service between Seoul and Prague will reopen on March 27 and run every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Additionally, on March 28, the carrier will resume service between Seoul and Zurich, with flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
With effect from April 24, flights between Seoul and Istanbul will once again operate three times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On April 25, service on the Madrid route will resume on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
Expanding Capacity
As the airline advances with its post-pandemic recovery efforts, it has been gradually rebuilding its network map. As travel restrictions started to loosen, Korean Air decided to increase its Asian and Middle Eastern offers in October and November after restarting a number of European destinations in summer 2022, including a brand-new route to Budapest (BUD). Shanghai (PVG), Phuket (HKT), Dubai (DXB), and Tel Aviv (TLV), among other well-traveled routes, were reinstated to the carrier’s schedule.
With the exception of its 13 local connections, the airline operates flights to 107 destinations in 42 different countries as of January 2023. Throughout the year, Korean Air plans to add more locations as demand dictates.
“The European market is recovering faster than expected, and we are seeing a strong comeback in travel demand,”
