KORD Training Server ATC - Open Right Now

Hey everyone! I know the Training Server can get a bit chaotic, especially at places like EGLL, KJFK, or KLAX. If you’re looking for a more serious environment to practice pattern work, landings, takeoffs, and ATC communication, I’ll be opening Ground and Tower at KDFW for the next few days.

When:
• Tonight: April 30, 10 PM – May 1, 12 AM CST
• Thursday, May 1: 10 AM – 4 PM CST
• Friday, May 2: 10 AM – 4 PM CST

Who’s welcome:
• All serious pilots (G3+ welcome too!)
• Ideal for those prepping for Expert Server

Note: This is not an official IFATC training thread — just a focused space to fly and learn without the chaos. I’ve passed the written and will be taking the practical soon, so come train with me!

KDFW Runway Ops (updated as conditions change):
• Departures: 18L, 17R, 17L
• Arrivals: 18R, 17C, 17L

ATIS (May 1, updated as conditions change):
Dallas Fort Worth Airport, ATIS information CHARLIE, time 1813Z. Wind 200 at 4, visibility 3, temperature 21C, altimeter 2993. Remarks, pattern work allowed. Landing runways 18R, 17C, 17L, expect ILS approach. Departing runways 18L, 17R, 17L. Advise on initial contact you have information CHARLIE.

Hello!

Feedback :spiral_notepad:

  • Pushback : Good Job!
    ———————————————————————-
  • Clearance : All Good but unless a runway change is requested, no direction is given. For example, Pattern 1: XX-XXX,wind 000 at 00,Cleard for take off, make a left traffic command was given. While clearing the plane before landing, we should not give the make a left traffic command again. We should clear it directly. XX-XXX,Cleard for the option. If a runway change is requested, for example from xxL to runway xxR, then we should give the Make a right trafficcommand while clearing the plane. Also, it would be much, much better if you clean the plane while it is in Crosswind. You are cleaning it too late.
    ———————————————————————
  • Runway Change : First of all, it is very nice to have the Pattern Entry command.Good Job!
    ——————————-——-———————————
  • Go Around : All Good!
    ————————————————————————-
  • Freq Change : Very Late.
    ————————————————————————-
  • Runway Exit Command : When the aircraft falls below 75 ground speed and there is an aircraft behind it on final, it should be removed with the expidite command. If there is no other traffic, you can give a normal command below 75 ground speed.

We hope you join us!
If there is anything you don’t understand, you can leave it to me.
