Knowing "busy" airports in advance?

Hi All

Just wondering how pilots know what will be the “busy” airports in the expert server ahead of the rush happening?

What I mean is - I typically log onto the exert server, see the busiest airports by arrivals at the top of the table and start a flight there. But there are lots of flights arriving there from people who have been on a long haul flight of 15+ hours… how did all these pilots know to fly to this airport ahead of it becoming busy?

Thanks

Most pilots follow the ATC schedule and then fly at times convenient to them.

I didn’t know this existed, thanks very much

Often airports listed on the ATC Schedule with an asterisk (*) are the busiest airports. The asterisk nots that newer, less experienced controllers are not allowed to open this airport because of how busy it will get. Often there are days where Tyler would put an airport on the schedule that says HUB. This means it should be quite busy. MMUN should be busy tonight if you’re interested.

As they said above, I check the ATC schedule for the airports and regions that will be or are busy. Those are typically the airports that I try to avoid so that I don’t start glitching out or my device doesn’t overheat 😂
