KLM phasing out the Queen of the Sky!

KLM is phasing out the Boeing 747-400 aircraft.
Today the PH-BFO left Schiphol for the final time. :(
Here is footage of her delivery flight in October 1992.
It’s so sad to see this mighty Queen of the Sky go. :(

Flying very high on her final flight! 45K+ ft!

She’s on her way to LETL, Teruel in Spain. I don’t know what awaits her there. :(

It will be cuddling with its Transaero 747 friends there.

I didn’t know KLM was phasing out their 747’s as fast as Qantas.

This was the third one. The last one will be gone in 2017.

Ok, I think Qantas is around 2021 and they should have their 787’s by then

Today the third KLM 747-400 left and the third 787-9 arrived! 18 more Dreamliners will come.

They are not. :(

No one is going to order them. The passenger version (747-8i) was pretty much a fail.
