NOTAM: Hello everyone, KLM is back with another event! This weekend we will fly from YSCB to YSSY, storic destination reached by us in early 60s thanks to the DC8.
You will be divided in 2 convoys distinguishing between long-haul fleet (747-400, 777-300, 787s) and Cityhopper one (ERJ-190, B737s). Special guest will be the 747-200, that will be escorted by 4 fighter jets and will takeoff first in line using convoy 1 FPL

FIRST CONVOY:

CRUISE SPEED: 300kn

CLIMB V/S: +3000fpm

CLIMB SPEED: 220kn

Follow CONVOY 1 FPL until VOR SY, then land at ISBK.

Nice event - and I may join this, but there are a couple of issues. Firstly, a 747-200 should not be parked at a GA (General Aviation) spot, try moving this to another gate. Next, why would “convoy 2” have to cruise at 5000ft all the way to Sydney? That’ll take ages to complete. Finally, a 747-200 cannot land at YSBK (and there’s a typo, it’s not ISBK) as the longest runway there is roughly 4600ft long, which isn’t sufficient for that aircraft.

Thank you for your correction about the 747. I set FL 050 for cityhopper fleet because they will fly on the ocean and I tought it should be nicer.
Only the escort will land at YSBK, the 747-200 will go to Sydney.

As I said, flying at 5000ft all the way will take forever - but it’s your choice.

It’s at 7 pm. In winter Zulu=GMT but in summer Zulu=GMT-1 because you enter in BST so in summer GMT=Zulu+1
