Any reason as to why KJFK is not highlighted in green when ATC is active?

Yeah, it is. It says 4 ATC in brackets right next to the name.

I think your destination airport is always purple.
@Lawin_S He’s talking about the name of the airport, not the dot inside the airport symbol.

Airports in your flight plan are always purple, whether they’re active or not
Zoom in on the map and the ICAO should be green…
But from 20.1 when you tap on the airport the pop up menu is not green :)
