A 757-200 operated by Delta carrying the Oklahoma City Thunder had a bird strike the nose and cave in on after hitting a bird en route from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Chicago, IL. NBA star Steven Adams posted on social media about the incident. Here is a photo:
That’s a regular occurrence nowadays.
Oh my… even the paint is damaged.
That looks pretty bad, I hope they can fix it as soon as possible
I think the plane hit an ostrich! Lol.
eh, there’s nothing important in the nose. We all know that…
I wonder what bird they hit
Seriously, a huge portion of the nose is just bent-in.
Yeah the radar in there is extremely unimportant :)
Wow that’s insane even with how fast the plane is going that’s a massive dent.
I don’t think this is a bird strike as there are no blood smears on the nose cone. The nose cone itself is probably fatigued and failed under immense air pressure.
Maybe the bird just disintegrated on impact. Jk. Who knows though maybe someone threw a bowling ball at it.
what did they hit? a pterodactyl?
Dang…did somebody chuck a bowling ball at the nose???
