Kicked off frequency

I was operating EGLL tower with several inbounds and departures waiting. Im issuing clearances and then all of a sudden planes arent responding to my instructions and then I hear another voice issuing take off clearances on my frequency and none of my messages no longer go through? why is this? I spent a long time waiting for that frequency to open up and all of a sudden after 30 solid minutes of controlling i get completely stepped on and kicked off. and before its asked, no the time limit was not reached.

I had this issue happen to me a few weeks ago:

Basically what happened is we both opened the frequency at the same time - however we were both able to control rather than one of us being made an “observer” (which is what should happen).

Once the issue was “discovered”, I checked and it turned out I wasn’t the one registered by the system has “being the controller”, the other controller’s name showed up when I click on the airport to see the info.

If this happens, the best thing really to do is simply leave the frequency, so no issues are caused.

Two controllers on frequency (training server ATC)

A previous thread mentioned this but it was closed and the problem was never addressed. On training server ATC, there is an issue where a single frequency can be handled by multiple controllers. This results in contradictory instructions, duplicate messages and overall confusion for beginner pilots. This obviously happens most often at busy airports (EGLL, KJFK, KLAX).
