I’ve been looking at LiveATC at my local airport and I’ve been noticing that KIAH Tower is DOWN.
A huge storm hit Houston so hard the communications with the tower went down.
6:15:05 is when it went down.

Most likely only the live ATC feed is down control towers, have back up generators and emergency protocols to prevent any major incident from happening and ensure aircraft safety

Looking on FlightRadar24, it’s clear that there’s still departures and arrivals happening. If ATC was truly down, the airport would be closed.

“Feed Status” typically relates to the feed that LiveATC receives. Feed Status is not related to communication between the tower and pilots. FAA status report states no issues at IAH.
