KATL > KSLC event on Feb 25

Hello!
First time posting so I hope I’m in the right place!

I was flying in the training server today around 2-3pm US Eastern time, and I randomly decided to fly out of Atlanta. It was a VERY busy airport, and when I started checking out all the other flight plans, I realized that nearly everybody had exactly the same ATL > SLC flight plan, so I decided to copy and fly with everybody :-). Very successful flight BTW!

So I’m curious, was there an event for this today? Anybody else fly that flight today? I scrolled through the live topics, but didn’t see anything. Curious if this was completely random or planned.

Thanks! Happy to finally be part of the community!

It was a internal event partnership with AF-KLM, and DLVA.

He’s asking about an event he saw, not about creating one…

It was KLM/Air France and Delta Virtual doing an event. @AF-KLM_VA might have more info.

Yeah… I was bombarded but you’re welcome and I would love to provide better services of Approach one day; while I continue to do APPR training (less busy airport)

Hi Andrew! Thanks for following along! As you’ve seen, it was a great event that we held internally between Delta Virtual and AF-KLM! Both are great VA’s that are happy to represent what it means to have a great community of pilots!

Thanks,

I can safely say it was one of the best events we’ve ever created.

What a heck of an event. I heard there were over 70 aircraft inbound to KSLC!

That statement is true

Indeed there were, about 50 of them were part of the event.

there were at least 50 planes from both VAs, other were just random inbound or outbound planes
