Kathmandu - Paro; Royal Nepal 757

Hello there :waving_hand:
Yesterday I decided to fly one of my favorite routes ; also one that I have a love/hate relationship with :sob:. Paro Airport serves the Bhutani capital :bhutan:, and is imfamously known for its difficult approaches both to the north and south due to very mountainous terrian on all 4 sides surrounding the field :snow_capped_mountain:.
Since starting playing IF in 2018, I have flown to Paro over 100 times; and including this flight I have only landed on the first attempt 6 times . Anywho, please disregard the self incrimination of my crappy flying, and enjoy the pictures with one of my favorite :pencil: liveries !!

Here’s our lovely bird that just pulled into Kathmandu’s international ramp after a 3hr flight from Dubai :united_arab_emirates:! Since being built in 1986, this lovely :pencil: has flown for 5 airlines including Royal Nepal, Royal Brunei :brunei: and BB Airways! Snagged this picture out the window of a Turkish A330 that brought be to Nepal from Istanbul :türkiye:!

V1… Rotate just about 1/3 of the way down Tribhuvans’ runway 20 :airplane_departure:

Leveling off at FL310 for this quick hop with the mighty Mt. Everest off our left wing! We were cruising a mere 2,000 ft (610 m) above the summit :snow_capped_mountain:!

Starting our initial descent into Paro over the Jigme Khesar Strict Nature Reserve

Time to get into the realll sketchy parts of the approach :grimacing:
But hey, atleast our cheeky 757 is being very photogenic :camera_with_flash:

Making the last few final turns to the airport :bhutan:

Short final with @Waxyscorpion308 spectating in his Highly Realistic (NOT) Southwest Max 8

Capturing butter landings is all about the angle :triangular_ruler:! You’d never know from this picture that I touched down at -750vs :face_with_peeking_eye:

Safely parked at the gate

Should’ve made me and Phorza and Avioes happy by doing a Breeze A220 instead.

Nice photos, and underrated livery on an underrated plane! Although only Bhutan Airlines and Drukair have a right to be at Paro lol.
