KASE Aircraft Size Restriction

Any way we can get KASE to be real? I appreciate they’re landing Runway 15 & departing 33, as that is 100% correct, however nothing bigger than a CRJ-700 is sent into KASE. I spawned in to see A320s & 737-800s, very unrealistic 😂 not even CRJ-900s are sent in during peak seasons.

The gates at the northern end of the airport are strictly for GA/private jets as well, and I’ve seen A320s in them

EDIT:

This post is coming from somebody who flew there this year twice during PEAK season, somebody who witnessed only CRJ-700s.

KEGE tolerates 757s and such, thats what everybody here is thinking of. I flew into both KEGE & KASE this year, so with all due respect, nobody here can tell me that 757s/A321s landed at Aspen. It’s just not allowed.

As commented below somewhere, there is an article showing that it was even sketchy bringing in a -700 BBJ, and that there is a huge debate on allowing a runway expansion to handle it, but currently, CRJ-700s ONLY. The gates cannot even handle anything bigger

Would this be more of a feature request?

More of a here type of post. I’ll help out and add it in there. Are you sure only CRJs come to ASE?

Yes, during peak season, Delta, AA, & UA only send CRJ-700s as it’s the performance CRJ. Not even the -900 is sent!

Use the information like @Joseph007 used, and that’s something related to the Airport Editing Team.

Alright sounds good. I’ll add that into the thread I linked. Thank you for pointing this out. :D

Should be edited in. Airport editors will see it soon.

Awesome. Yeah I just dogged a little and not even CRJ-900s are really tolerated there, so I’d for sure say no.

They just took the parameters for KEGE and said the same for KASE lol

Ill check see if any editors have recently edited the airport.

There are 757 that are sent during ski season

Here’s some information about KASE restrictions.

From what I’ve been reading the county commissioners voted to limit the size and weight of aircraft using the airport. However you do still have performance issues for aircraft operating from an airport at such a high altitude. The second link, the pdf file explains further.

I swear there have been 757 at KASE

AAL flies them from Dallas during leaks ski season

I’ve been on a 752 into KASE in real life, so there’s that

Ok so me and @N1RG are right about the 757 being used during peak season

Yup. It definitely handles 757’s, in-laws went on an a321 earlier this year from dfw to there (didn’t know that was used until then)

Well I’ll remove this from the list then.

Everything I’ve read says that’s not possible based on the information I’ve found and posted above (post number 12). Are sure it wasn’t Eagle County?

Found this article… Confirms that 737’s have flew to KASE. Getting some conflicting reports about 757’s… But technically speaking, 757’s shouldn’t be too big of a hassle, just defiently nothing bigger.
