Greetings IFC! As you remember from my previous post, I have to fly from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, in the far east of Russia. Unfortunately, tickets for the direct flight are sold out, and so are connections via Vladivostok and Khabarovsk due to the summer surge, hence I have no choice but to take an interesting detour. This is the second and final leg of the journey, from Moscow to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk on Aeroflot’s A330-300

As we land from the northern side, we can see the entire city of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk on final approach
