I’d be down for some training sessions this weekend if I have time…all I needed to hear was “MCO”. Just ping me the next time you’re open, but I am almost certainly unavailable during the week

Feedback | KPSP | Walter 1

  • Transition at 4000ft was too high. Based on the airport elevation of 476ft, it should be 3000ft. The formula is adding 2500ft to the airport elevation and then rounding up to the nearest 500ft

  • Inbound clearance could’ve been sooner. Try to give it as soon as possible; there is no need to wait for the aircraft to turn base to clear them.

  • Unnecessary re-clearance when I reported full stop on final since I was already cleared. I was just letting you know that I was going to full stop and not do more patterns. Always check if the aircraft is cleared before clearing them again. Reporting position doesn’t always mean the pilot has not been cleared yet.

  • Late exit runway, I was already off the runway when it was given. Try to aim for 70kts for the exit runway as much as possible.

  • No clearance on my second pattern until I reported position on the base. Always try to clear aircraft as soon as possible. Don’t wait for the aircraft to report position to clear them.

  • There was no frequency change on departure; I had to request it. You can issue the frequency change approved as soon as you approve the pilot’s request. There is no need to wait for the pilot to request it.

  • Lastly, I wouldn’t recommend having aircraft doing patterns on left downwind due to terrain, I would use right downwind. I had to climb from 2000ft to 5000ft as soon as I turned crosswind to avoid crashing.

That’s all the feedback from me, thanks for the service!
