Are you going to do ifatc training or just take the practical? Also I recommend studying the atc schedule before retrying your written

Yea I’ll do the training but I need to pass the written test I failed the first time I’m able to retest on the 5th

Yeah look over the atc manual and have pen/paper in hand, it helps

Just wondering how different is the ifatc practice written vs the actual written I know is ten extra questions but besides that how different is it

Honestly I didn’t take the practice test, but I imagine it’s pretty similar to the real thing. Your recruiter might have more information on that.

CF-JFV here for your debriefing…

Inbound / Transition request

  • ⚠️ 2000’ was too low for this airport.
    • given the airport altitude of 95’, the transition can be obtained with a simple calculation: airport altitude + 2500 = 2595 rounded up to the nearest 500’ gives 3000
    • This ensure a minimal separation with your jets pattern which is 1600’…2000’ was in conflict with those

Inbound / Touch n’ Go request

  • ⚠️ Don’t forget to give a pattern entry and, if needed a sequence before the clearance. You went straight to the clearance.
  • ⚠️ Same with my runways change…you have to issue a new pattern entry when a plane quest a r/w change

Now… the Go Arounds… ⁉️⁉️⁉️

  • I’m not quite sure if it’s me or you but you sent me around 3 times from 35R, requesting me to check runway assigned when I was aligned and cleared for the… 35R
