I think this goes to show that the stats are not triply accurate. You make a really good point. For example, the 757 is rarely flown right now. But at the end of the year, it will immediately become the most popular plane. If we had this plane reworked, it would be the same thing. It would become the most used plane.

That’s why I keep on saying: REWORKS BEFORE ANY NEW THINGS! Yes, reworks every time can get a bit boring and a new plane here and there is alright, but we need to prioritize reworks!

Yes! Let’s get some attention on the sorry state of the C-17!
And on the subject of stats - I’m afraid I’m not touching the C-17 until a rework… So along with all those others who feel the same way, the stats don’t necessarily show the full community’s desire for a rework. Some die-hard fans might still fly it, but I bet a majority feel it’s so sub par they won’t use it at all. Besides, I remember the last time I flew it a few years ago I armed spoilers and started dropping like a rock before the runway 🤨

Well we did vote on reworking this and the community chose the A330. Nothing you nor I can do about it.

Since I live very close to Travis AFB, I have been into the cockpit of both C-17s and C-5s. I have also been where the boom operator sits on the KC-10s. At the air shows. :)

I remember the first time I flew the C-17 it felt like flying the B717 but heavier the C-17 really needs a rework

Furthermore, let’s just remember that the C-17 is THE most joked plane in the entire sim! It doesn’t even have a proper cockpit camera!

Unfortunately the military sector of Infinite Flight doesn’t always grab attention, especially when compared to some other commercial options. I think the developers will just have to decide on their own to tackle this one, hopefully soon. But just because a vote snapshot was undertaken doesn’t mean that’s the end all be all for all those that didn’t win. Besides, are we really going to see a a320Neo or 737Max in sim before this? I can’t imagine so
