Dose anyone ever feel weird about flying into a non 3D airport? just because we are all now used to flying into a 3D airport its amazing on how far Infinite Flight has become since 2013.
3D airport look so detailed whilst non 3D Airports look Empty but it doesn’t matter. but they are developed by IFAET (infinite flight airport editing team)
Before KOAK was made 3D in the last update, I seldom flew to or from there. Now that its 3D I think I’ll be flying there more often.
As someone who regularly flies the C-17 on realistic cargo missions for GAF, I can say that I have become quite comfortable flying into 2D airports. But I appreciate it when bases like KTCM and KSUU are 3D. I’m still waiting for Dyess, Yokota, and Kadena to be made 3D, among many others in the states and around the world!
I think that they can’t put 3D every airport because there are so much ones
They’re not too bad. I played it on and off pre covid and finally got a solid subscription in December 2022. Even then many major airports such as Orlando weren’t 3d, so I personally am fine with an airport not being 3d, I’m just used to it from when I started. Present day I can see why it may be difficult or annoying. The only thing that bothers me is the use of air stairs due to the lack of gates lol.
Actually, the plan is to have every single airport be 3D in the future, but since they rely on volunteer hours for the making of those airports, it’ll take quite some time before we are there
Yeah thanks for answering me
But it’s sure that’s it’s gonna take a while to have all airports 3D
Well, I don’t know the exact number, but there’s a lot more 2D airports than 3D airports at the moment. And considering it was several years ago that they started making them, I think it’ll take at least a few more years. However, with the hopeful continued addition of people into the IFAET and updated technology, we could see an increase in the number of airports coming out in the future which could speed up this process. Hope this helps!
Yeah it helps thanks
It’s sure that there are so much more airports that are 2D than 3D
I regularly fly into 2D airports i don’t mind them at all. I’m not just going to avoid flying into a airport just because its not 3D who knows it may be years before the airport becomes 3D.
If has around 26,000 airports with around 1675 3D airports in 25.1 which means over 24,000 airports
are 2D
