Shanghai-based Juneyao Airlines, a Star Alliance connecting partner, has announced new fifth freedom flights from Helsinki, Finland.
The airline will operate a Shanghai Pudong (PVG) to Helsinki (HEL) flight. From there, Juneyao will fly to three European destinations: Dublin, Manchester, and Reykjavik.
All three of these routes will be fifth-freedom flights, meaning you can solely fly on Juneyao between Helsinki and Dublin/Manchester/Reykjavik without flying to/from Shanghai.
All three routes are operated with the Boeing 787-9.
Dublin will be flown twice a week and begins March 29, 2020
Manchester will be flown three times a week and begins March 30
Reykavik will be flown twice a week and begins March 31.
Awesome expansion by the airline. In addition to this, Juneyao previously announced it will launch Shanghai to Athens in June 2020.

I really like Juneyao’s livery, and hope that they’re successful with these routes. I imagine they’ll have quite a bit of competition, so best of luck to them.
Nice! Such a stunning livery and it is a great deal seeing more Chinese visitors in Ireland. Similar to what Dublin received earlier;
Hainan Airlines used to operate between Dublin and Shenzhen direct or via Edinburgh. Flights have been operating normally until became suspended until mid-2020 for the Winter Season.
