Jetstar Moving to Western Sydney Airport

Alan Joyce has announced Badgerys Creek will become Jetstar’s main hub. The airline will be operating 24 hours each day alongside QantasFreight operations. Sydney Airport Group also has the offer to take ownership of and run the new airport.
Fares will become even lower for people flying in and out of Sydney, and it will be so quick and easy to get in and out of the airport. This will also open up heaps of job opportunities and Sydney Airport will become a lot less crowded and terminals will free up.

I’m so excited! On another note Amazon will also be coming to Australia and the airport is likely to become a freight hub for them. What do you think?

I said they need to redo it for more efficient means of getting around it and a special spotting tower

It does need a renovation. Getting a bit old and it’s going down the airport ranks. They currently have part of the airport closed off for construction.

A spotting tower would be the best!

The spotting tower was closed, they probably won’t build another tower.

Yeah what are they turning that into

Looks more like a regional airport because of no jet bridges

I went to Denver that airport is so big and easy

How about that 747 freighter though?

Yeah it looks nice just not practical

Agreed! Looks great and it probably is possible in the 2030s

Well they’ll have to demolish the whole airport. Maybe when Badgerys Airport is complete, airlines could go there for a few years?

Smart move. Would be much more convenient for all the westies who don’t wanna go into the city to get on a plane. A low-cost airline in the west, I can’t think of a much better thing. Still a while off, though (I wouldn’t be surprised if were still waiting for 2027 for it). Here’s the airport website for anyone who’s interested: http://westernsydneyairport.gov.au/

Yes probarly is a good Idea i have only flown in to Sydney once and it was very busy so Sydney probably needs that.

Does the new airport will be a LCC airport? , Or it will be a temporary move until the new airport fully opened?

Yes, pretty much an LCC airport. But other international airlines could start flying there too.
