Powered by 2x V2533-A5 International Aero Engines capable of producing 140.55kN / 31,600 lb‘s of thrust, VH-VWQ is Jetstar’s first A321 (WL) to be added to their now eight-strong A321 fleet, delivered 26/11/2016. Jetstar operate their fleet of Airbus A321 aircraft in a 220-230 seat all-economy layout, leather seats having an average of 29 inches of pitch and 18 inches width.
Jetstar Airways Pty Ltd is an Australian low-cost airline founded in 2003 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Qantas. Operating an extensive domestic network out of its main hub, Melbourne/Tullamarine Airport (YMML), its fleet consist of 53 A320’s, 8 A321’s and 11 Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners, also flying out of secondary hubs Auckland (NZAA), Brisbane (YBBN), Sydney (YSSY), Gold Coast (YBCG) and Cairns (YBCS). Focus cities include Adelaide, Denpasar and Perth. In total, the Qantas Frequent Flyer partner flies to 37 destinations around Australia, Asia and the Pacific region, carrying 8.5% of all passengers travelling in and out of Australia.
