Not really.
They are extremely rare but in some cases, there are photos taken by phone that were accepted such as this. (Exif data says it was taken with the iPhone 16)
The quality of phone cameras have improved a lot, and as long as the airplane is close enough and the shot meets Jetphoto’s standards, there is a chance it can be accepted. Like that P-8 Poseidon jet you captured not too long ago…

I once got a photo accepted on jet photos from an iPhone 13, but very rare, especially since it’s an older phone.

Too much noise and backlit unfortunately
Try comparing your photo to some on JetPhotos. Now come back and think again

this thread needs to have it in big bold words to please compare the photos on JP to your own.. i mean it with respect, but a grainy phone photo isn’t going to get you far and is only clogging up the queue
i don’t even know if its satire or not at this point

I don’t see a problem with blur at all. If anything overexposed.
This one might have a chance if I clutch editing. But probably not, and that’s because I don’t edit for jetphotos.
Just because it’s a JP reject doesn’t mean it’s a bad photo at all.

Thanks, I will try to edit it again. I also have the some opinion, the spotting itself is the fun and an accepted photo is a nice side effect and goal.

Although I have 455 photos on Jetphotos, I also have a lot of photos that are rejected. In the recent months, I found that they may not judge every photos fairly because there are more low-quality photos appear on the homepage, but the photos that my friends and I believe good are rejected. The thing that makes me angry is that they use “correct reject “ almost every time. I think they may not examine the picture seriously and then give a fair answer. I think this is a big problem. (That’s just my personal opinion) However, I still continue to upload photos. If you are looking for help, please DM me or reply to me. I am willing to help

bro. I was wondering if your camera focused on the plane properly? It does look a bit blurry, but I think there could be a few reasons for that:
The shutter speed isn’t fast enough
Are your lenses and camera any old or damaged？
Was it taken through glass
maybe you didn’t sharpen it enough
However, these photos are pretty and they can be accepted if you can adjust them
