Description
As far as I can tell so far, the jetbridge sync feature doesn’t appear to be properly functioning on ES, contrasting with what I’ve previously seen posted on social media or what @/cameron posted in the open beta changelog topic. When I’d pop onto ES, whether it be flying or controlling, it doesn’t appear that the jetbridge syncs properly with the connections that other players are making.
A couple of notes before I go into more detail:
- IDK what exactly the current iteration of sync features. For example, if it doesn’t simulate real-time connections or changes to connection points
- IDK if it should show up for all players using jetbridges, despite the version they’re using
- I restarted the Air but not the Pro since the sync feature was announced to be live, it works on neither device
- Jetbridge sync works on my own aircraft during replays
Whether I’m using the live released version or the open beta, neither seems to show any jetbridge connections. To test this feature out as best as I could, I pulled out both of my iPads to start up a flight on both, seeing if I could see the jetbridges synced across both devices. I first started by putting one on open beta and one on the live release, and couldn’t see the sync, so I changed to both open beta, yet real-time sync was still not a thing. Here are some things I saw:
- NOTE: I spawned in with the 787 device 1st, and when I spawned with the 777 device, the 787 jetbridge was attached to L2, which is accurately reflected, but did not change (to L1) as I moved the jetbridge later
- When I used free cam to move away from the 787, the 787 despawned (as I went far enough away), when I came back and the 787 respawned, the jetbridge had moved away from L2 (went to normal resting position), despite it being connected to L1 on the other device
- As I disconnected and reconnected the jetbridges, those changes were not accurately reflected on the other device
- I could not find any other aircraft with an attached jetbridge (except for the point below)
- At one point, while I was testing and went to look through the settings menu (hit many settings buttons), when I came back to resume the game, the aircraft that we spawned in had accurate jetbridge sync on just that one device (but when I used free cam to go away and come back – AKA despawn respawn the 787 – the jetbridge positions went back to default and didn’t continue to sync)
