JetBlue Airways has permanently suspended two routes, and will be temporarily suspending 25 routes over the summer season.

most of these flights are ones that are primarily around for tourists in the winter season to help facilitate spring and winter break. The majority of these flights cut have been from Fort Lauderdale, Newark, and JFK. Most of these cuts will start at the end of April and beginning of May. They will, for the most part, all return at the start of October.

  4. Fort Lauderdale-Chicago O’Hare ; ends April 30th, back October 1st
  5. Fort Lauderdale-Cleveland ; ends May 3rd; restarts October 1st
  6. Fort Lauderdale-Grand Cayman ; ends April 30th, resumes October 1st
  7. Fort Lauderdale-Portland (Oregon) ; ends April 28th, back October 31st
  8. Fort Lauderdale-Port of Spain ; ends April 30th, restarts October 1st
  9. Fort Lauderdale-Providenciales ; ends April 30th, back October 1st
  10. Fort Lauderdale-Seattle ; ends April 29th, restarts October 30th
  11. Fort Lauderdale-St Maarten ; ends April 30th, resumes October 1st

All the flights listed with a resume date or bookable for those dates. Only flights 1 and 2 on this list are not bookable for the winter 2022/2023 season.

Of JetBlue’s longest flights, two of the top five will be temporary suspended, Fort Lauderdale to Seattle as well Los Angeles to San Jose (Costa Rica).

The assumption for this cut is not on the rising fuel cost, but the airline assuming that there will be a downtick in travel over this summer season.

Flying BDL-SFO on April 8th, Just in time before they suspend the route. At least this is only temporary.

Glad JAX wasnt on here. Not surprised that BNA & AUS to CUN got cut for good.

That is an interesting assumption. I actually think there will be a slight rise in travel since countries are dropping more and more COVID restrictions
