Since the last update the jet bridges will not connect to the CRJs. When the pax button is pressed the main door opens and and the bridge doesn’t move. Is this something being ironed out or a permanent fix?
Thx. Kaylon
Hey, do you have a picture or video? also what airport and gate?
I don’t have a vid or picture… but this was at KMYR it also happened somewhere else but don’t remember I figured it would be fixed by now.
GATE A1 excuse me .
I’m not sure … I just tried KATL the it connected but the door didn’t open 🤷🏾♂️
It’s definitely related to that issue now that I’ve read it
ya i dont think the jetbridges or staircases are optimized for crjs
That’s what happened to me at 3D airports
Hi. With the new update, the CRJ doprs no longer open. Im not sure if this is a planned thing, or a bug. I can recreate this issue at multiple airports and multiple gates.
I will try to find a topic to see if the staff have adressed the issue.
Hope this helps!
Jet bridges usually aren’t used for CRJs irl so I think they just have to figure out the best option for IF.
Oh cool
Then we need to have the doors open
That’s why I was saying, they just have to find the best way (the pic you put) and code it to do that.
I hope they will code the aircraft so that the door opens and the onboard stairs deploy when PAX is selected
Wait the doors on the crj open for me. The jetbridge connects then it opens through the jetbridge. Realistic? Nah but better than nothing.
Here’s a picture
Thank you I appreciate it
@schyllberg Ill just tag you because no idea who else.
WHOSE IDEA was it to remove the manual operations for all aircraft? Doors, cargo etc and just replace with the pax et buttons?
In a 757 at a dual bridge, door 2 doesnt open. But no way to manually open now.
Seems now the CRJ has lost its manual actions.
Big question:why?
I think maybe they did it to maybe keep people from accidentally taking off with there doors open or maybe so it’s just simpler. It doesn’t really affect us in many negative ways, for instance, if the gate goes to door 2 on a 757, does it really matter if it opens or not considering we can’t see the door?
Because irl pilots can’t open doors, they are working on the second door jet bridge issue and it should be fixed soon in a hot fix iirc
Are you kidding, they took away CRJ jet bridges 😭
