Hello, I’m an IFATC Specialist in training to be a radar controller.
My trainer gave me permission to use this resource in addition to my official training sessions to improve faster.
I’ll use this thread to announce whenever I open an Approach Frequency in the Training Server
Please note the following:
Airport, runways, and other information will be announced each time I open.
You can request any approach. (ILS, Visual, GPS and Radar Vectors (RV)).
Please make sure to file a FPL if you’re doing GPS
You can also file a FPL if you’re doing ILS, Visual and/or RV.
Please fly at a reasonable speed at all times.
Downwind [ 220 - 200 IAS ]
Base [ 180-200 IAS ]
Please follow my instructions even if they don’t make sense to you.
Maintain an average VS of 1,300, except when you just took off.
Please report the following:
Terrain bust: Must remain above 1,000ft AGL when you aren’t cleared for approach or climbing from an airport while actively being on my frequency.Separation bust: Must have a 3nm lateral, and 1,000ft vertical separation between other aircraft when you’re not established for the approach yet.Issue intercepting: If you didn’t get the localizer with the vectors I gave you.Inefficiency: If you believe you could’ve got to the runway significantly quicker safely.
