Japan Transocean Air Boeing 737-800

Japan Transocean Airways, Inc. is a Japanese airline headquartered in Naha, Okinawa, Japan. It operates flights within Japan, mainly to Okinawa. Unlike regular JAL aircraft, the front of its fuselage is marked “うちなーの翼”.

The meaning is a nickname for Japan Transocean Airways (JTA) and represents its philosophy of flying the skies of Okinawa as the wings of Okinawa, carrying the dreams and hopes of the people of Okinawa!

JTA is a small airline from a global perspective, but it is a very attractive company and I will do my best to make it attractive enough to be added to IF. If you are interested, please vote for us :person_bowing:.

JTA’s first scheduled international flight, the Okinawa (Naha) - Taipei (Taoyuan) route, will be newly opened in FY2025.

I want to fly with IF too!

I somehow stumbled upon this feature request on X. I’m frankly surprised this was never requested before.

If this livery is added, I would like to make a round trip from Okinawa to Nagoya and back. I plan to fly this plane again in November!

The in-flight safety video also features a variety of Okinawan characters.

I hope it will be added to IF by the end of this year!
