Japan Airlines Boeing 787-8

Would love to see this added as they flight HKG-NRT on this as well!

Here’s JA821J shortly after take-off from HKG, likely flying that exact same route. This would also open up routes from RJAA to KSEA, KDFW, KORD, and KSAN.

I find more -8 routes than -9 routes these days so this is a must!

Yeah, I’ve noticed that the -8s are doing NRT-BKK, NRT-MEL, NRT-PEK, NRT-HKG, NRT-LAX, NRT-SAN, HND-SEA, and so on these days. They used to do HND-ORD but it seems they’ve upgauged to the 777-300ER for that route in order to compete with All Nippon and United and to get the most use out of the American hub there. Seems like Narita is their primary base for the shortest member of the Dreamliner family and we have it in 3D now, so there’s every reason imaginable to add it to the sim. Anyway, here’s JA821J on approach to Beijing-Capital (PEK).

I’ve flown on more JAL 787-8’s irl than I have 787-9’s — would love to see the JAL 787-8 livery!

As the saying goes in the city where KORD is located, “Vote early and vote often!” :-)

Cheers!

Bump, this aircraft+livery is still very flown, and it would be nice to have it in the sim

Well, it looks like it’s confirmed with the given registration (JA849J).
Congrats!

They’re actually using the 787-9 on that route right now, oddly enough.
