For a number of years now, Japan Airlines has operated from Tokyo to Dallas. This route has seen a variety of aircraft, with the 787-8, 787-9, 777-300ER, and now the A350-1000 being used. In addition, the Tokyo-Dallas route hasn’t originated from the same airport, with flights originating at exclusively at Narita before the COVID-19 Pandemic, from both Narita and Haneda after the initial resumption of service, before finally switching exclusively to Haneda in 2023. Currently, the route alternates between JAL’s long-haul workhorse, the 777-300ER, and the new A350-1000. However, Bigfoot’s days with JAL in the Lone Star State are numbered, as the A350 begins being used exclusively on the route after the last 777 flight on August 14th, 2024.
