Hiya! This is my first post on here, so I hope it’s ok. Today’s flight is a short and sweet round trip from Haneda to Ōsaka-Itami featuring the challenging circling approach to RWY14R.
Flight Details

Departing from Gate 16 of Terminal 1, We begin long taxi to RWY05 the island runway, at Haneda
Climbing out of Haneda, we set a southeastern course over Tōkyō Bay towards the Pacific Ocean.
Flying westbound, we of course get to gander at Fuji-san
A short cruise at FL300, we descend into the Kansai region, which will ultimately take us to Itami
Itami Airport includes possibly my favorite visual approach to do: the circling approach to RWY14R dubbed the “Itami Turn”.
Like at Innsbruck’s Circling RWY08, we approach as if we are lining up for RWY32L (the opposite side), before performing a so called “left break” to set up for the downwind leg.
“Japan Air 103, break to the left RWY14R, continue approach.” -Ōsaka TWR
What’s interesting is that this approach is entirely done by visual – as in there is only a Visual LDG (ChartFox Acct Req) chart to go by.
Ignoring the upcoming mountains that tower north of the airport, we’ll watch out for the RWY threshold in anticipation for our base-final turn.

Once on the ground we make our way to Gate 18 for a quick turnaround in Ōsaka
Nearly 2 hours later and we’re almost back at Haneda!
