Currently open GND and TWR at YBBN for at least the next 30 minutes. @Declan is open at YSSY so now would be a perfect time do some Brisbane-Sydney flying with the new QFA 737.
Well the controlling was really professional, I’m not gonna lie. Then again I wasn’t there for that long to see it.
The only thing I have to comment on is sequencing - on the first pattern you should always give some sort of sequence (like enter right downwind, runway so and so)
This helps the pilot understand which runway they will be landing on but it’s no biggie
Overall would rate 9/10 keep up the good work
You didn’t sequence me or the other aircraft that was remaining in the pattern.
When I am remaining in the pattern you don’t have to give me a pattern entry “enter left downwind 19” unless you are changing my runway.
The extend upwind for the aircraft I was following was unnescssary unless you were trying to make me number 1 for 19 and put him behind me, but you cleared him number 1. I would have put me number 1 because I’m in a SR22 and do not want to make that long of a downwind treck.
You didn’t give exit runway instructions to any of the aircraft. If you had you would not have to give me a frequency change to ground because it would be included in the exit runway instruction.
When you cleared me for 19 you did not have to give me clear for the option left traffic, just give me clear for the option because you already told me to make left traffic when I took off.
The only exception to that is if you want me to make right traffic of course and if you change my runway. When you changed me to 14 you just gave me clear for the option without telling me left or right traffic, which is incorrect.
You could have told that aircraft “enter left downwind 19” then decided where in the sequence you wanted him when he entered left downwind.
I requested take off remaining in pattern and you told me to take off and i had to say i was requesting landing before you put me in a pattern, and why did you put me on pattern for 22, 31 would have been better as thats where i took off from but thats not as a big a deal, tho annoying cuz of the cross winds
SEQUENCE, SEQUENCE, SEQUENCE, SEQUENCE. You need to sequence. I highly recommend you watch and review the tutorials on that again.
Not a big deal but you can clear me for option alot earlier. I was downwind with no one in front of me in the pattern you can clear me for the option at any point when in that situation.
No need to say “enter right downwind” to an aircraft you have already cleared for the option make right turns. They will already enter right downwind. All you need to do is sequence. For example, you did it to the plane behind me, so instead of saying enter right downwind, #2 plane to follow is on right downwind, just say #2 plane to follow is on right downwind. No need to say enter right downwind.
Overall, decent controlling. You will be chewed by your recruiter for IFATC if you dont sequence.
