Feedback PR-ATE

Visual Approach -No issues

ILS Approach - No issues but you can turn the aircraft to DW within 6-8nm. you don’t have to wait till 8nm. I have requested for runway 24L for this approach but you gave me 24R.

Feedback for D-ALEX:

Everything seemed good except you forgot the approach clearance for my last landing before handing me over to tower. You also could’ve let me climb a bit before my first approach instead of leveling me off at 3,000 so far out.

OK-SAF

First approach (ILS inbound from CYMX)

  • Inbound was okay, though the slanted vectors onto the downwind came a little early and did result in a slightly wider downwidth. Not that big of a deal tho but try to ensure ILSs have a 6nm downwidth.
  • My apologies for missing the LOC. I was tuned onto the wrong runway lol. However, I would have liked to see a reverse intercept rather than a re-clearance with just a descent to get me back onto the LOC. This would look like turn right heading 270, descend and maintain 2000ft, maintain 2k until established, cleared ILS 24R approach.

Second Approach (VIS)

  • Little wider downwidth this time around. I would try to keep it between 4-5nm.
  • No big issues here though. Nice half-cone.

Third Approach (GPS R24L)

  • Good job recognising I need Vectors to Final.
  • 8-9nm downwidth. A way to work with VTF GPSs is to put them into your ILS pattern, only difference being how you actually clear them for the approach.
  • You tried to turn me base before the Initial Approach Fix (IAF). You should vector me towards the IAF then give me CAF once I can comfortably join the final.
  • I would have only cleared the GPS approach when it looks like the aircraft is established, then hand them off to CTAF/Tower.

Not a bad session overall!
