So, at this point I’ve spotted at 60 airports in 14 countries, but somehow not the city I’ve been living in for the last four years. Why? No car, no reason to go, airport’s mid anyways. Last week, two of these three were not true anymore so I found myself spotting at PHL (we’ll get back to you on the mid part).
The question: is KPHL mid for spotting?
Yes. Yes it definitely is. Lackluster spots, boring traffic, I think literally the only redeemable qualities are the runway configuration (which allows for engine light) and the (obstructed) skyline view. This was a great session, but that has nothing to do with the airport and everything to do with the conditions.
I was born in NJ and lived right across the river from Philly, and GOD do those skyline photos take me back. My uncle works in the Comcast Tower and I would visit him pretty much every time me and my brother drove our parents crazy which was quite often lol. That A35K looks gorgeous in the sunlight too! (Well it always does but the light is the cherry on top)
I unironically would like to visit at some point, but I can’t really justify a trip out there just for that. If I do end up going there I’ll definitely contact lol
There is no way people from Morrisville, Yardley, or any other city directly on the river on the PA side consider themselves to live in Philly and not Trenton
Well. I live in one of them and we all don’t want to associate w Trenton. We actually have multiple Change.coms to close the Bridges to them lol. The only reason I’d want to go into the city is to spot
