It ain’t much, but it’s honest work

Greetings, here’s something different from my usual screenshot topics. Recently I took a flight to Edmonton ON, Canada. On the return flight I had a 3 hour layover in Ottawa. Like the nerd I am, I spent those 3 hours walking around the airport taking pictures of the planes. I know the photos ain’t great, but for an iPhone 13, and the apple photo editor, it’s honest work. Hopefully I’ll get a camera one day when I’m not a broke college student.
Enjoy.

Outbound flight | AC163

Toronto was getting the snow storm of the decade when I left, here’s a view of my flight (AC163) at the gate.

On the contrary, here’s the same plane, after arriving in Edmonton. It was sunny and no snow, only a cold -28° C. (-18.4° F for my American friends)

Fun fact, this plane is the same one we have in Infinite Flight, registration C-FRTG

Ottawa Layover

Porter 280 from Edmonton, this was my flight.

Porter 2352 from Thunder Bay, ON

Air France sends their 777’s to YOW from Paris now, so that’s pretty cool.

Here we have Jazz 8860 from Washington D.C

AC452 from Toronto

AC456 from Toronto

My final flight, Porter 2260 from YOW to YTZ. Here’s a nice view of Toronto city at night from my window

Thanks for viewing, please ignore the grain 🙏 🙏🙏🙏

shoutout @Humanguy for helping me figure out flight history tracking

Really nice photos - the snow makes it look all the more chilling

You can, and if you don’t know how, I can find them for you if you’d like. Also, using ADS-B Exchange, I’ve checked aircraft history as far back as seven years ago. Yes, it showed the flight path and everything—albeit not very clearly—but it was still workable. I digress. If you want, I’d be happy to find those flights for you if you provide me with a time. 😀 Great post! I love the Air Canada black and white livery so much.

Nice pics!

How’d you like flying on the Dash 8? I enjoy them but I’ve also heard mixed opinions so I’m curious about yours.

Was not bad, leg room was great, it was better than the E2 legroom, had a few extra inches between my knees and the seat at 5’ 10”.

Everything was extremely old on the plane, but understandably, and seats were fairly comfortable. Would fly again

Btw were you referring to Porter 2260?

Nice pictures, they’re pretty cool, especially the last one. Can’t wait to fly on Porter one day.

Sounds like a fun time—thanks for sharing and letting us vicariously experience the joys of a layover and plane spotting in the terminal.

I love that you pointed this out! I have a fascination spotting the reg’s of the IF fleet too

The snow sends shivers down my spine, figuratively and physically.

Thanks @Bonnie! I would highly recommend Porter, I was seriously surprised by the quality of everything they do, even the food was fresh. Their E2 Jets have free wifi, and all flights serve free drinks as well.

Greek yogurt I ordered.

Haha, glad you enjoyed, it was the only thing I could do keep myself sane while I waited for my flight, it had been a long day lol.

Alberta definitely was a cold one that week.
