When I try to start a dm, it says I already have one started in the same category and it asks me if I want to abandon that draft or keep it. If I choose either option, my screen goes dim and I am unable to use the forum from that tab. In short, I can’t DM anymore.

As in you cannot press anything when the screen goes dim? I have experienced that before. Normally a page refresh sorts it out.
I tried that and it just brings me back to the broken page.

It’s only happening with some people. I can start new dms, I just can’t abandon a draft with others

What browser are you using?
Safari, and the discourse app. Both aren’t working.

It is really annoying, had to DM someone on a quite important issue yesterday but now it’s to late I guess…

Yeah having the same issue as well! The screen just dims for whatever reason and can’t abandon the previous draft (On Safari for iOS)

I have this issue as well. A quick restart fixes it though for now to exit the issue.

Yeah it doesn’t fix the issue permanently but it serves as a workaround when you encounter it for now.

Ok try restarting your device. Again this won’t fix it permanently as it’s an on going issue.
