Android user here:)) i just bought a new galaxy tab 9 and i’m experiencing an issue with the pilot and controller voices in Infinite Flight, I would like to use different accent options and the male voice, but no matter which voice I select, I can only hear the default female voice. (this used to happen on my previous device, also android)
In the past, I was able to change my pilot’s voice to a different option, but the voices of other pilots and the controllers always stayed on the default female voice, even if I tried to change them. However, now neither my pilot’s voice nor the voices of other pilots and controllers are working correctly. Despite selecting different options, they both default to the female voice.
Can you please verify that your Google TTS engine is up-to-date? Look for “Speech recognition and synthesis” on the Google Play Store and tap the “Update” button, if available. Once the TTS engine is updated, restart your IF app and try setting your sounds again.
If there is no update available for the TTS engine, please reply here and we can continue troubleshooting.
I was facing an issue where other pilots all had the default voice. I did what you said and updated that app on the Google Play Store, and now everyone’s voice is the default voice, including mine…
Coming back to this thread after a while, I have noticed another issue where other pilots don’t hear your pilot voice as the one you have selected. The voice pitch is almost always different
