During my approach into Mexico City my plane kept pitching up and I couldn’t bring it back down unless I push the auto climb to -5000 ft for it to register a command and then I have to catch it before I nose dive into the ground.
(I was instructed to descend to 9,000 ft but when I did, my plane began to climb without me commanding it to and I couldn’t bring it back down, so I had to end the flight before I even got onto the ILS)
My plane was responding so weird, a first for me who flies the 747 since I got the game.
Once my plane reached 9,000 it began to suddenly climb on its own. I tried to stop it but it wouldn’t respond. It wouldn’t respond to manual input either.
porpoising would be the most likely cause due to a very high aircraft weight and slow airspeed there’s 2 fixes…
Disengage A/P and hand fly the approach
Add more flap
Its the same issue if you go to a high crusing alt with a heavy jet it will porpoise and stall with a disengagement of A/P thats why long range jet use step climb for their flights
To improve range and fuel economy
To stop a stall from occurring due to a very heavy jet
Its important that you do keep an eye on what your weight is so flaps or speed can be added and A/P stays happy.
