Is this a good tab to buy for IFS?

Hey everyone,

I’m not really a tech savvy person, so forgive my ignorance on the matter.

I’ve been told by many that iPads aren’t really the best for gaming. So I started looking at Android tabs.

I’ve seen one that fits my budget…. Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+

  • 8GB RAM
  • 128GB ROM
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon SM6375 Processor
  • 7040 mAH battery

I don’t wish to use any other apps or games except Infinite Flight.

Hey, if you wish to check how your device will run IF, you can check out this thread made by the community.

Device Compatibility Thread 22.3 - Built By Us For You!

You should be able to find your device there.
If you don’t, that means your device is either not supported, or isn’t powerful enough for IF.

Regarding iPads, these are one of the most popular devices for IF. It is really great for the game and runs very well. You can get a good enough iPad like 9th generation for around $250-$300

Thank you….

There is no A9+ in the device compatibility list.

  • The Tab A9+ imo is not powerful enough to run IF , you will defently find the experience a bit laggy
  • What I recommend: Tab S7 FE
  • IF is a very intensive task so get your self a good tab :)

Thank you…

Though you might wanna get something better than usual, as a new graphics engine is coming. For sure it’ll change performance.

Any suggestions…?

For android tablets?

Anything really… iOS or Android

AFAIK any iPad after 2020 should run great on max graphics, regarding iPhones I have an iPhone 13 and it runs fine, does drop a bit of FPS with many aircraft though.

Regarding android, I didn’t try any devices, sorry.

This is exactly the tab I use for the IF. It runs very well for flights and ATC, especially because of its large field of view.

I’m running on a 10th Gen iPad that I got on sale on amazon for $279. Runs maxed graphics and 60fps without issue. Who told you iPads weren’t going to be as good?

Thanks that’s encouraging. It’s available here in India for INR.26,999….even lesser online.

Actually heard quite a few people say it. In their defence they didn’t specify which iPad they were referring to. Here in India Apple products are overpriced (solely my opinion). Having just checked it out, prices start from INR.34,900 and the iPad Air starts from INR.57,900.

But let’s see… haven’t decided yet.

Not sure who told you iPads werent good for running IF? I use an iPad Air 4 and it runs max graphics, 60fps like a dream
