Is the TBM a considered light aircraft?

Can someone provide me with some advice. Is the TBM considered a light aircraft? I am understanding that in infinite flight, the TBM is not considered a light aircraft, is this still true? The reason for my inquiry is that I requested multiple times to push back at EGLL and was denied stating that no light aircrafts were allowed. I eventually received a level two violation. Advice please.

As per the ATC manual:

“Light aircraft are defined as the C172, SR22, XCub, Spitfire Mk VIII and P38.”

So, the TBM is not classed as a light aircraft. You should appeal.

No, it is not. From the ATC manual, this is the list of light aircraft:

My “trick” to remembering it is that it’s only the piston-powered aircraft.

In your case, I’d recommend you contact @appeals to have your violation reverted.

Correct, I also read that. I just wanted to make sure that I didn’t miss anything. Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it.

From what I’ve seen here in the community, the TBM is not considered light aircraft in Infinite Flight

Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t going crazy.

Hello!

What has been said above by WML and Avioes is correct. The TBM is not a light aircraft, as mentioned in the ATC Manual. I did a quick check and was able to verify what you said. I’ve now removed the violation as incorrectly given, so, no need to contact appeals now. I will get in touch with the controller to ensure this issue is addressed. Apologies for the inconvenience!

Thank you! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thank you! I do understand that the controller had his hands full, running both ground and tower on such a busy airport.
